Melanie Elizabeth Phillpott VanWinkle was born in Birmingham, Alabama on March 20, 1978. She passed away on April 12, 2011 in Sherman, Texas. She attended Berkner High School in Richardson. She was a member of the Honors Band where she was a talented oboist. She was employed by Client Services. Melanie loved spending time with her children snuggled in the bed watching movies. She loved music and was a gifted artist.
Melanie is preceded in death by her father, Paul Phillpott. She is survived by her children, Carmen, Mayci, and Logan, her mothers, Carol McMillan and Patricia Phillpott, her brothers, Adam, Christopher, and Joseph, her sister, Jennifer, and many other loving relatives and friends. Her beautiful smile will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She will be laid to rest by her father in Restland Cemetery.
