Victor's Journey

Victor L Caston, the son of the late Leonard Caston Sr. and Mattie Sublett was born in Chicago, Illinois, on September 8th, 1946. Victor passed away at St. Margaret Hospital in Hammond, Indiana on May 10th, 2010, at he age of 63. Victor expressed a desire for music at an early age, and was coached by his mother. Victor was a member of "The Radiants" in the late 60's and early 70's. He reunited with members of the group in the late 90's to establish a new recording group called "Radiance With Brightness". Victor was also a songwriter. He received several certificates in telecommunications. He had a passion for music, sound and video. Victor was a member of Victory Apostolic Church in Matteson, Illinois. He had been a member of the choir, but most recently on the Audio Ministry. Victor was united in marriage on April 13, 1968 to Doris Artis-Caston. Two beautiful sons were born from this union. Victor had one sister, Queen Ester Bartley that preceded him in death.

Victor leaves to celebrate his legacy and his life a loving wife; Doris Caston, two sons; Millan (Olivia) Caston, Trevor (Ebony) Caston of Fort Dodge, Iowa, ten grandchildren; Brittany, Tiffany, Anthony, Darreus, Veniciya, Kortrell, Aerus, Caleb, Amber, and Jaden, three step-grandchildren; Dashay, Anthony, and Amarrion, six sisters; Barbara Dickerson of Los Angeles, CA, Claudette Dockery of Chicago, IL, Elaine Dickerson of Duluth, MN, Lenora Cook, Verona Potts, Carmen Caston all of Minneapolis, MN, three brothers; Leonard (Carolyn) Caston of Harrisburg, PA, Richard Dickerson of Chicago, IL and Eugene (Wanda) Caston of Mt. Sterling, KY, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Victor will be greatly missed.
