Dilbert came into our lives quite unexpectedly, we adopted him from the dog pound when he was 13 years of age. Dilbert brought so much laughter into our lives and we will miss him more than words can say. We wanted Dilbert to die peacefully in his sleep from old age, but his will to live was so strong that he continued on despite his body failing him. The decision had to be made...it was time to put Dilbert out of his pain...it was one of the hardest things that my daughter and I have had to do...to watch our Dilly Bar slip away so quickly...we will miss him so much...and the tears flow endlessly, so it seems.
Today we got you back home with us and put you inside your urn. We miss you so much Dilly and yearn to give you hugs...big hugs...we love you so much Dilly Bar, so very much and you will always have a place in our hearts. Now instead of us making a voice..you know..that Dilly voice that looked like it came from you..we now have that voice coming from your urn..and we know that you are in Doggy heaven now, chasing those rabbits..and this, Dilly Bar...is good..very good indeed...for, you are no longer in pain..but free to be once again.
