Robert J. Major, 64, died suddenly at home on February 11, 2012. Beloved husband of Kathleen (nee Dougherty) and adoring father of Valerie. Son of Joseph and Margaret Major (deceased) and dearly loved by sister Peggy Bickers (C. Jeffrey). A 1965 graduate of Avon Lake High School, he received his B.S. from Baldwin-Wallace College. Former 22-year employee of Ameritrust and former Remax Homeward Bound realtor. He was an employee of Independence Bank on Rockside Road. In addition to his family, he is survived by many cherished friends, particularly his buddies at the American Legion Hall Post 211. Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon Belden Road, Avon Lake from 4-8 pm, Thursday, February 16. Private family services will be held following visitation.
