Richard Alan Miller, 77, of Rosemount, passed away at home Wednesday surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 11, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to Walter Herman and Noretta (nee Callahan) Miller. Richard is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara, children Matthew (Laurie) Miller, Bridget (Daniel) Handke, Julie, Peter (Marnie) and Patty Miller, and Andie (Kevin) Reed, grandchildren Brittany, Zachary (Jena), Jacob, Riley, Jenny, Carolyn, Jack, and Duncan, great-grandson Maxwell, and brother John (Rose) Miller. He was preceded in death by a sister, Norette. Richard lived out his love for others by loving his wife and family dearly, volunteering, singing in the choir at the Church of Saint Joseph, and driving school busses for ISD 196. He will be forever loved, missed, and treasured. A Gathering of Friends and Family is scheduled for 1-3 PM Sunday, May 6 at the Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley,(952) 432-2331, and 1 hour prior to 11 AM Mass Monday, May 7 at the Church of Saint Joseph, 13900 Biscayne Avenue, Rosemount. Memorials are requested to Food For The Poor and the Church of Saint Joseph Building Fund. Inurnment will follow in the Church of Saint Joseph Cemetery.
