Luckman, William H., age 96 of Whiting, on Tuesday, May 8, 2012. Born in Paterson, William had resided in Wyckoff until moving to Whiting in 1989. Before moving to Whiting, William had worked as a gear cutter for Van Vlanderin Machine in Paterson. He had served in the CCC during World War II. William H. Luckman was the beloved husband of 67 years to Monica (nee Sloan) Luckman (2003). Loving father of Helen Bonafede and her husband Christopher of Fair Lawn, Monica Jannicelli of Hawthorne and Whiting, Joel Luckman and his wife Claire of Newton, and the late William H. Luckman, Jr. (2005). Dear grandfather of eight and great grandfather of nine. Father-in-law of Anna Marie Luckman of North Haledon. He was the youngest of ten siblings, and is survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 3:45pm on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Browning-Forshay Funeral Home, 557 Lafayette Avenue, Hawthorne. Cremation will be private. Friends may call on Saturday afternoon from 1:00-3:45pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 62 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
