Aaron Daniel Martin, age 5, of Royal, went to be with Jesus on Friday, September 6, 2013. He was born on July 28, 2008 in Hot Springs, the son of Stephen Paul Martin and Laura Elisabeth Armstrong Martin. He was preceded in death by one uncle, Brian Armstrong. Aaron was a member of Wildwood Tabernacle, loved singing in church and he loved Jesus with all of his heart. He loved playing with his brothers and sisters and riding his new tricycle. Aaron also enjoyed going to the library and was so proud of just receiving his very own library card. He is survived by his parents, Steve and Laura Martin; three brothers, Earl Gideon Martin, Marrion Branham Martin and Stephen John Martin; one sister, Dinah Faith-Louise Martin, all of Royal; his paternal grandparents, Earl Martin and Marie Martin, both of Royal; his maternal grandparents, John and Gayle Armstrong of Hardy; his maternal great-grandparents, Bob and Sue Strayer of Flagstaff, Arizona; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 11, 2013 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Rev. Tim Martin, Rev. Earl Martin and Rev. John Armstrong officiating. Interment will be in the Cunningham Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Tuesday evening. Pallbearers will be Joe Martin, Bill Martin, Phillip Martin and Teddy Pruitt. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill House, Christopher Armstrong, Garland County Sheriff's Department, Mountain Pine Chief of Police Chad King, LifeNet E.M.S. team and first responders, Mercy Hospital Emergency Room Trauma team, Dr. Karl Wagenhauser, Baptist Medical Center Med-Flight team. The family will be receiving friends immediately following the interment at Royal Ridge Barn, 115 East Hawkview in Royal. Guest registry is at www.davis-smith.com.
