Adam chose to end his life on Friday July 22, 2011. He was taken off of life support on Tuesday July 26, 2011. He was twenty years old. He is survived by his mother, Carmen Reed, his father, Joseph Rensin, his three sisters; Michelle Reed, Sarah Rensin and Elizabeth Rensin, and his only brother, Aaron Reed. Adam celebrated many accomplishments in his life; however it is his remarkable spirit we most wish to honor. Adam possessed a brilliant and inquisitive mind beyond his years. He constantly questioned, challenged, and explored the limits of this world’s wisdom. His profound astuteness superseded intellectual prowess. He understood the complexities and fragility of the emotional landscape; ever ready to assist companions as they navigated its terrain. His intuitive nature served as a compass for others and his sharp insight pierced the darkest of veils. Adam was a valiant crusader. He refused to succumb to the whims of the norm and displayed stubborn resolve in the face of social niceties. Adam was a storm of creative intensity, who allowed beauty to embrace him as he danced beneath the waves of sensate awareness. He was a conduit of life’s beauty. He was daringly unique; a perfectly imperfect fingerprint stretched across the atmosphere. He was a rising sun, dazzling in the skyline, hanging like a constellation in each of our hearts. He gave more than he took; he taught more than he learned, and all who knew him are forever in his debt. The impossible struggle that raged within him is known to few, if any, and the silent battle he fought has taken him from this world much too soon. In the wake of his short time among us, Adam has left a legacy of love, compassion and radiance that we shall never forget. Thank you Adam. You are loved and missed and will be forever in our hearts. Services will be held at Halley-Olsen-Murphy Funerals & Cremations located at 44802 Date Ave, Lancaster, California on Friday August 5, 2011 at 10:00am.
The Rosary will be held at the same location on Thursday August 4,
2011 at 7:00pm. A second service will be held in Santa Clarita at Temple Beth Ami, located at 23023 Hilse Lane on Sunday August 7, 2011 at 2:00pm. All who knew him are welcome to attend both services.
When the sun you loved so
Turned from bright orange to grey
I can’t help but wonder
What did you say?
You loved the calm of the night
The warm summer breeze
But what were you needing
That I couldn’t see?
I gave you life,
I gave you my love,
I rocked you and held you
And thanked heaven above
For saving my baby
Through blizzards and cold
But why am I left now
Without you to hold?
I wonder if you know
How many lives you have touched
Do you know my sweet boy
That we love you so much?
I am so sorry
I couldn’t get into your soul
And pull you back towards me
And help you feel whole
I wish I could have loved away
All of your fear
I can’t picture my life
Without having you here.
I know that I must find
Away to let go
But you will always be part of
My heart and my soul.
Goodnight my sweet baby
My child, my young man
You are in Gods hands now
I’ve done all that I can
Let God be your guardian
Let God be your guide
Good luck on your journey
I am there by your side
Love Always,
Mom
