Adam Joseph Simpson infant son of Brian and Kathy Simpson of Burke, SD was born into God's loving arms on May 29, 2012 at 5:29pm as a result of the birth defect Anencephaly.
Adam is survived by his parents Brian and Kathy Simpson of Burke, SD, his siblings Abigail (3) and Andrew (22 months), his grandparents Marilyn Simpson of Burke, Patrick and Sandra McGrath of Faulkton and his great-grandma Katherine Vopat of Faulkton. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, David and Stephanie Simpson of Farmington AR, Trina and Dean Herll of Brandon, SD, Jim and Denise McGrath of Clarkfield, MN, Wanda and Brad Hanson of Faulkton, SD, and Robert and Jenny McGrath of Harrisburg, SD. He is survived by cousins Breanna, Tyler, and Tristan Simpson, Courtney and Marissa Herll, Seantae Read, Kelsey and Jordan McGrath, Kayleen McGrath, Brandi Jo and Logan Hanson, Alexis Thompson, Madalyn and Kylinn McGrath.
Adam is preceded in death by his grandpa Lee Simpson, great grandparents Lambert Vopat, Terry and Margaret McGrath, Emil and Mavis Wiedman, and Clarence and Verna Simpson.

A funeral service for Adam Joseph Simpson was held on Monday, June 4, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Berean Fundamental Church in Gregory with Pastor Scott McClellen officiating.
Music was provided by Geoff Smith, soloist, singing "How Great Thou Art" accompanied by Mary Prouty, pianist. Congregational songs were "Jesus Loves Me" and "Amazing Grace." Also played were recorded selections "Borrowed Angels" by Kristin Chrnoweth, "Heaven Got Another Angel" by Gordon Garner, and "Precious Child" by Karen Taylor-Good.
Barb Sengelmann was in charge of registration. Flower attendant was Rachel Hitchcock.
Casket bearers were Jim McGrath and Robert McGrath.
Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Gregory, SD.
