Adolph Albert "Mickey" Budan was born July 27, 1924 in the 3800 block of St. Clair Ave. in Cleveland to Frank Budan and Mary Plesko Budan. He became an orphan at the young age of six. He went to live with his aunt and his 2 sisters on the west side of Cleveland. Mickey attended Annunciation Grade School and Holy Name High School, where he was captain of the Hockey team. He graduated in 1942. In 2003 he was inducted into the Holy Name Hall of Fame.

After High School Mickey worked at the White Motor Co. in Cleveland until enlisting in the U.S. Army in March 1943. He served overseas in England and France in the transportation division of Headquarters Company 15th Major Port. Once the war was over he was honorably discharged in February 1946 as a Corporal and married his high school sweetheart, Dorothy Mae Goldbach. Together they had 2 daughters, Diane and Debbie.

One thing that always defined "Mickey" was his work ethic. Initially he worked for White Motors as a timekeeper and then became an iron worker in 1951; Mickey also started his own heating and cooling company and operated it for 10 years. In 1964 he went into the automobile business and worked for many prominent auto dealerships. In 1972 he opened "Euclid Chrysler Plymouth" and grew it to one of the largest dealerships in Cuyahoga County at that time.

From humble beginnings to a revered businessman, Adolph lived a life of happiness, laughter and love. His generosity and charismatic personality were felt by everyone who came in contact with him. As a devoted husband, father, grandfather of 7 and great-grandfather of 5, he exemplified strength, courage and taught life's lessons by example. Mickey loved golf, pinochle, and most of all his family. He was and always will be the soul of his family. He is the person that we all truly aspire to be and live our lives after. Mickey passed away on Monday, November 28, 2011 at Parma Community General Hospital.

Mickey's family will receive friends at the BUSCH FUNERAL HOME, 7501 Ridge Road, Parma, from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. on Sunday, December 4, 2011. Prayer service at the funeral home on Monday, December 5, 2011 at 10:15 A.M. followed by Mass of Resurrection at 11:00 A.M. at St. Albert The Great Church, 6667 Wallings Road, North Royalton.
