Adrian Sergio Sandoval, born in Tijuana, Mexico, Sept 8, 1947
passed into eternity on Dec 5, 2011. Proceeded in death by his father Jose Severiano, and his brother Joe Sandoval.
Survived by his mother Rebeca, his brother Isidro and wife Irene
Sandoval, sister Norma and husband Jessie Espinoza. Tio and Tia Donato and Maria Sandoval, Tio and Tia Jesus and Evangelina Sandoval and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Sergio attended local schools and graduated from Franklin High School. He received his Bachelors Degree in Sociology from San Jose State University, where he was involved in the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s.He was a member of St. Gertrude Catholic
Church where he was actively involved with the Knights of Columbus, The Cursillo Movement, and Prison Ministry of Stockton.
Close to his heart was his passion for Mariachi Music. Born into a musical family he was taught the violin by his father. He
loved listening to his favorite singers Vicente Fernandez and Jose Alfredo Jimenez. Traveling another one of his passions led
him to Europe, the Middle East, and the Holy Land of Jerusalem, Israel. But his most endearing trips were his travels to Mexico
to visit family and friends. Fondly known by his nieces and nephews as Uncle "Yo Yo" his gregarious unpredictable sense of humor will be greatly missed. We love you " Yo Yo"
Family and friends are invited to celebrate the Rosary at the DeYoung Memorial Chapels, 601 N. California St., Stockton, CA on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday December 14, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gertrude's Catholic Church, 1663 E. Main St. Stockton, CA 95206
There will be visitation at DeYoungs on Tuesday, 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
