Agata Mroz-Olszewska, two-time women's European volleyball champion, dies at 26
WARSAW, Poland - Agata Mroz-Olszewska, a two-time women's European volleyball champion, has died. She was 26.
She died Wednesday of an infection two weeks after a bone marrow transplant, said Alicja Chybicka, a doctor at the Bone Marrow Transplantation Clinic in Wroclaw.
Mroz-Olszewska was a member of Poland's European Championship-winning team in 2003 and '05. She ended her career in 2007 because of the progressing bone marrow illness.
Mroz-Olszewska gave birth to a healthy girl in April.
