Agnes Tuggle Walker passed from this life to her eternal heavenly rest on Sunday, August 28, 2011. She was a native of Lynchburg, VA where she graduated from E.C. Glass High School and began her 42 year career with C & P Telephone Co. She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, John T. Walker, Jr.; her daughter, Debra Newton and her husband Joseph; one grandson, John J. Newton, his wife Suzanne and their children Grace Michele and Eli Joseph; and one granddaughter, Jill N. Dunn, her husband Daniel and their children Alexis Elizabeth and Sean Christopher. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an active member of Talbot Park Baptist Church and Telephone Pioneers of America. A funeral service will be held on at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2011, at Talbot Park Baptist Church, Norfolk, VA, by Dr. Harry T. Dixon, Jr. and Rev. Keith Martin. Burial will follow in Princess Anne Memorial Park. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel is handling arrangements. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
