Dateline: Mt. Holly Albert Harold Liberatore, 94, died December 8, 2010 at The NC State Veterans Home in Salisbury. A native of McKees Rocks, Pa. he was the son of the late Peter & Lucia Marracino Liberatore. He was a retired US Air Force Veteran and was a self employed carpenter. A memorial service will be held at 7:00PM, Friday, December 10, 2010 at Queen of The Apostles Catholic Church with Father Frank Cancro officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00-7:00. Survivors include his sons Peter Liberatore & wife Nekae of Mt. Holly, Albert H. "Bud" Liberatore, Jr. & wife, Miriam of Oregon, Paul Liberatore & wife, Cassie of Ohio, John Liberatore & wife, Paula of Ohio; daughters, Rita DiSalvo of Pennsylvania and Amy Mitsch of Georgia; sisters, Virginia Burden of Colorado and Betty Bolea of Pennsylvania; 17 grandchildren & 10 great Grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Liberatore, brothers, Nick, Henry, Charlie & Joe Liberatore; sisters, Mary Michaelangelo, Dolly Slepecki. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Queen of The Apostles Catholic Church, 503 N. Main St., Belmont, NC 28012.
