Albert James Becvar February 16, 1936 ~ December 15, 2011 Funeral services for Albert James Becvar, 75, of Hemphill, Texas, are set for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday December 20, 2011, at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell, with Rev. Dean Reeves officiating. Interment will follow at the SPJST Cemetery near Caldwell. A visitation is scheduled for Monday, December 19, 2011, with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., also at Strickland Funeral Home. Mr. Becvar passed away on December 15, 2011 at St. Joseph's Regional Health Center in Bryan. Albert was born February 16, 1936 to Joe Becvar and Alberta (Blaha) Becvar at their home in Chriesman, Texas. Albert loved the outdoors; he loved fishing and earlier in life spent many years ranching and raising cattle. He also enjoyed an occasional visit to Louisana to do a bit of gambling. Albert is survived by his wife Mary Jo Becvar; sons and daughter-in-law, John Allen Becvar of Bryan, Gordon Wayne & Colleen Dillahunty of Sugarland, TX, Oscar Dillahunty of Jarrell, TX; daughter and partner Camellia Dillahunty and Brooks Williams of Pocahontas, AK; sister, Betty Jean Schroeder of Bryan; grandchildren, Kourtney Noak-Hill, Coley Williams, Josie Williams, Kyra Dillahunty, Chloe Dillahunty, Jaxon Dillahunty; great grandchild, Kaleigh Hill, and numerous nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Janice Becvar, brother-in-law, Milton Schroeder, and numerous aunts and uncles.
