The family of Colonel Albert M. Christopher, USAF/RET, 87, of Goose Creek regret to announce his death on the evening of Saturday, October 25, 2008 in a local hospital.

The family and friends of COL Christopher are invited to attend his memorial service at 1:00 o'clock p.m., Thursday, October 30, 2008 in St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 301 Redbank Road, Goose Creek, SC 29445. The Rev. Dr. Anthony Kowbeidu, Vicar of St. Mary's will officiate. Inurnment will be later in the family cemetery in Union, SC. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory are requested to the Children's Ministry of the church. Arrangements were made through McALISTER-SMITH Funeral Home, Goose Creek Chapel.

Mr. Christopher was born November 8, 1920 in Duncan, SC son of the late Arthur W. and Ruby Thomas Christopher. While attending theological seminary, WWII began and he joined the Army Air Corps and was a fighter pilot in three wars retiring in 1972 after 30 years service. He was a true American hero.

He loved his retirement which allowed him time for his wife, hobbies, and fishing. He was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mulloy Feaster Christopher, his brother, A.J. Christopher of Union, SC, four nieces, Jean Christopher Spaugh of Atlanta, Sharon Lewis of Goose Creek, Mary Feaster of Columbia, Frances Feaster of Union, and three nephews, William Christopher of Columbia, Thomas Christopher of Atlanta, and William Feaster of Union.
