Albert McGough, age 90, of Lilly, died Thursday, July 19, 2012, at his residence. Born in Lilly, he was the son of the late Eli Hugh McGough and Calla Smith McGough. Mr. McGough was a veteran of World War II serving in the US Army in Italy. He received the Purple Heart. Mr. McGough retired from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and was a member of American Legion Post 202. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Lilly Liars Club. Survivors include: Daughter: Nancy Lamberth (Douglas) of Lilly Grandchildren: Jennifer Andrews and Emily Lamberth Great Grandchildren: Kurtis Andrews and Megan Andrews He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys West McGough. Graveside services will be at 11 AM Saturday, July 21 in Vienna City Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made to American Legion Post 202, 419 Coney Road, Vienna, Georgia 31092. Brannen-NeSmith Funeral Home of Vienna has charge of arrangements.
