Albert Salvatore Gallinovich 1941-2010
Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Albert Gallinovich passed away Wednesday, November 24th. Albert is no longer suffering from a damaged heart and poor kidney functions as he has joined his mother and father, Rose and Dino Gallinovich in the kingdom of heaven.
A Brooklyn native, Albert was an extraordinary man with a deep love for the floral industry, fine arts and history. He had a natural ability to make a piano exude the most elegant sounds one has ever heard. Passionate about life and the pursuit of knowledge, Albert went home to New York. While completing his degree from York College he found the true love of his life, and an amazing wife, Josephine Gallinovich. Her love, care, and selfless dedication provided Albert with many extra years to continue to be an amazing man, husband, brother, father and grandpa.
His memory lives on in the lives he’s touched and his impact on this world. Albert lives on via his wife (Josephine), children (Jennifer, Kelly, Dino and Fred), his brother and sister (Raymond and Maria), brother in law (Vinny), his nieces (Fran, Rosemarie, Diana, and Karen); and his grandchildren (William McWaters, Mercedes McWaters, Aaron Gallinovich, Alexis Gallinovich and Joseph Hernandez).
There are numerous lives Albert has touched and countless stories we’ve all been blessed to have been told so many times. Albert was both a lover and a fighter who proved many skeptic doctors wrong by living a full life way beyond their expectations, making it all the way to his favorite number, 69! Albert will be missed and remembered by all the lives he has touched.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 30, with the Vigil service starting at 6:30 p.m., at Santa Clara Mortuary, 2370 North “H” Street, Oxnard, (805) 485-5757. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 1st, at Santa Clara Chapel located at 1333 East Ventura Boulevard, Oxnard Ca, 93036. Interment will follow at Santa Clara Cemetery.
