Albert T. Gauthier, Sr., passed away on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, after a long illness. Albert was born on August 28, 1927 in Fall River, Mass. He was predeceased by his parents, Ovila and Alberta Gauthier; and his sister, Evette Furtado. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Elsie Spivey Gauthier; one brother, Raymond Gauthier; and one sister, Jeanine Willis; seven children, Albert (Butch) Gauthier, Jr., Renee Gauthier Clark, Paul Gauthier, Michael Gauthier, Clifton Bradshaw, Patricia Bradshaw Kellihan and Tommy Rinehart; sixteen grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren. He was a Merchant Marine and a Master watchmaker graduating from Waltham Watch Company in Massachusetts. He was a former owner of Rene Jewelers of Norfolk and Hampton, VA. There will be a celebration of Albert's life on Wednesday at 1 p.m., December 28, 2011, at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Ocean Park Fire Dept. or charity of choice. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
