Alcibiades Balbuena, 106, of Port St. Lucie, died at his residence on January 12, 2012. He was born in the Dominican Republic, and had been a resident of the United States since 1962, and a resident of Port St. Lucie for 17 years, having moved from Miami. He had been an accountant before retirement. He was a member of St. Lucie Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Marie Balbuena of Port St. Lucie; children, Denise Balbuena-Martinez, Guillermina Balbuena both of Port St. Lucie , Aristides Balbuena of Alabama; Antonio Balbuena and Zoraida Balbuena Fermin both of the Dominican Republic; twenty-two grandhildren, thirty-five great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Victor Balbuena, 1 brother and 2 sisters.
Visitation: 3:00 – 6:00PM, Sunday, January 15, 2012 at Forest Hills Funeral Homes, Palm City Chapel, with a prayer service at 6:00PM.
Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 AM, Monday, January 16, 2012 at St. Lucie Catholic Church, in Port St. Lucie.
Interment will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
