GRAFTON: Aldore A. Laflamme, 90, known as Al to his friends and family, called "Pop" by many, "Pop Pop" or "Grandpa-Pal" by his grandchildren, passed peacefully in the care of his loving children at his daughter Barbara's home on Sunday April 17, 2011. His beloved wife of over 60 years Rosealma G. (Holland) passed in 1998. Al was born September 8, 1920 in Worcester the son of the late Joseph Ovila and Mary Jane (Bibeau) Laflamme and is the last of nine children being predeceased by seven brothers, Howard, Henry, Leo, Raymond, Edward, James, Francis and one sister, Rita Warfield. He is survived by four sons, Edward "Slim" and his wife Cathy, James "Jim" and his wife Letitia "Tish", William "Bill" and his wife Deborah "Debi", Alfred "Al or Fred", two daughters, Jacquelyn "Sue" and her husband David Williams and Barbara "Barb" and her husband Robin Russo. He also leaves 18 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Al lived many years in Grafton and worked in the area all his life. He was a great believer in hard work and paying cash for anything he wanted doing just that. He was a Master Mechanic working at United Parcel Delivery which is now UPS. He owned and operated Al's Service Stations in Worcester and Auburn. He opened Bake N Take Pizza Parlors in Shrewsbury and Auburn, he worked for his best friend Bob Veyo at Quik Delivery and he owned and operated his own used car sales and auto salvage yard in Grafton. Al was a "Jack of All Trades" and especially a very good carpenter like his father before him having built his family home in the 1940's, remodeling and enlarging it in the 1960's. He was a parishioner of St. Philip's Church and a member of Local # 170 Teamsters & Truck Drivers AFL/CIO in Worcester. Al loved visits from his family and he will be missed by all who had the good fortune to have known him. The family asks that you honor him by donations to VNA Hospice Care, 120 Thomas St. Worcester Ma 01608 in lieu of flowers. Funeral & Calling Hours The Funeral will be Wednesday April 20th from THE RONEY FUNERAL HOME 152 Worcester St. North Grafton followed by the celebration of his Funeral Mass at 11 am in St. Philip's Church, 12 West St. Grafton Center. He will then be laid to rest with his beloved wife in St. Philip's Cemetery. All are invited to calling hours Tuesday (today) April 19th from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home.
