Aleta Graves Ricks, while surrounded by her family, passed peacefully at her home on Monday, January 30, 2012 after a brief battle with lung cancer. Age 56 years. Daughter of the late Charles Ray Graves and Marie Calcagno Acosta. Wife of Larry Fowler. Loving mother of Lisa Letto Howard (husband: Bruce), Michael Frank Letto, Jr., and Marlo Letto Davis (husband: Richie). Sister of Clara Klink, Belinda Klink, Philip Pons, Phyllis Leaber, Marie Williams, Larry Graves, and Cynthia Graves. Loving grandmother of Taylor, Blake, Andre, Brett, Anthony, Benjamin, Payton, Justin, and Brenden. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Lawrence Pons, Gregory and Charles Graves, and her maternal grandparents, Frank and Clara Roppolo Runfalo.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at 11:30AM. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park. A visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning at 9:30AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
