In loving memory of Alexander C. Petersmarck "Alex", who passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012. Alex is survived by his mother, Madylon Petersmarck, his father, Edward, Sr and stepmother, Carol Petersmarck, his sisters and brother, Kristen Nagle, Stephanie Petersmarck, and Edward Petersmarck, Jr. Alex attended St. Regis & St. Hugo grade schools. He played football and was the captain of the lacrosse team at Brother Rice High School in Birmingham. Alex graduated from the Eli Broad School of Business at Michigan State University where he played lacrosse and was on crew. He was also a member of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity at Michigan State. After graduation, Alex went into the real estate business in West Palm Beach, Florida where he was involved in many charitable organizations such as the Big Brother - Big Sister Program, served on the committee for the Caron Renaissance Gala, and was an active participant in activities for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Family will receive friends Wednesday, August 1, 2012, from 2-8 p.m. at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Road, Troy (between Maple and Big Beaver Roads), with a Scripture Service at 5 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, August 2 - 11 a.m. at St. Hugo of the Hills Stone Chapel, 2215 Opdyke, Bloomfield Hills, with Rev. Eugene Simon officiating. Visitation at the church begins Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, MI In lieu of flowers memorial tributes may be made to: Make-A-Wish Foundation which was close to Alex' heart. www.wish.org/help/donate.
