Alice (O’Leary) Daily, Of Belmont passed away on April 13, 2009. She was the beloved wife of John F. Daily Jr.

Born in Bangor, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Cornelius J. and Annabel (McManus) O
Leary. She was an Alumna of Regis College Class of 1950, and worked for many years as a Tour Guide for Executours.

She was the devoted mother of Eileen Daily of Chicago, IL; Rev. Vincent Edward Daily, (Pastor at St. Gregory’s Parish, Dorchester); and Constance Anne Daily of Belmont. Sister of Eileen Scribner and her husband Charles of Old Orchard Beach ME, and the late Most Reverend Edward C. O’Leary, Bishop of the Diocese of Portland ME. Sister in law of Most Reverend Thomas V. Daily, Bishop Emeritus Diocese of Brooklyn NY, Rev. Vincent Eugene Daily of Cambridge and Bernard J. Daily & his wife Betty of Naugatuck, CT. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held from the Stanton Funeral Home, 786 Mount Auburn Street (Route 16), Watertown on Friday, April 17, 2009 at 9:30 A.M. Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, Common Street, Belmont at 10:30 A.M. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours on Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. Interment to follow in Belmont Cemetery.

Mrs. Daily was a late member of the Legion of Mary and the Ladies Sodality of St. Joseph Parish.
