At the age of 79, Alice Joyce Savage passed away peacefully at Kaiser Permanente Hospital on the evening of December 9, 2011, surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren.

Alice was one of nine children bron to Roy and Stella Moody of St. Paul, Minnesota. Alice was raised in part by her grandparents. She attended and graduated Mechanic Arts High School.

At the age of 19, Alice Moody met Joseph Savage, and after a whirlwind courtship they were soon married and they relocated to San Francisco, California. Their first son Phillip Joseph was worn in 1960, followed by their second son, Elliot Robert, in 1962.

Alice worked for the Federal Government as a shipping clerk in San Francisco at the Hunters' Point Naval Ship Yard, where she received many awards and accolades for exemplary service, and retired after thirty years service.

Alice was a dedicated wife and mother. She was loving, kind, and devoted to her family. She enjoyed her friends and liked going on trips to Taho and Reno.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Savage; mother, Stella; father, Roy; brothers, Homer and Robert; and sisters, Stella, Vondetta, Vivian, and Carolyn.

She is survived by her sons Phillip and Elliot (Nicole); stepdaughter Elnora Goodrich; granddaughters Jade and Elaine Goodrich, Tawana; brother, Roy Moody, and sister, Linda Jemison of St. Paul Minnesota. She also leaves behind a host of family and friends.

Alice lived a life of hard work and generosity. During her last years Alice spent her time focusing on the welfare of her children. She was a beautiful woman with a giving nature. Although very soft spoken she never needed to raise her voice to get her point across. Her loving and gentle spirit will be greatly missed.

The family wishes to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love and concern and kindness shown to them during this time of bereavement. May God bless and keep you.
