TORBECK, Alice Miller, of Richmond, died on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at her home. Mrs. Torbeck was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Stuart Torbeck Sr. She is survived by her son, Charles Stuart Torbeck Jr. and his wife, Judy; her daughter, Ann Torbeck Gregory and her husband, Mark; five grandchildren, Catherine Torbeck, Charles Torbeck and Mary Stuart Torbeck, Kathleen Harik and her husband, Simon, and Christopher Gregory; one great-grandson, Bodhi Salix Stuart Torbeck; a sister, Evelyn Dane of Hopewell; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m Monday at Bliley's - Central, 3801 Augusta Ave., with a Rosary service at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Bridget's Catholic Church, 6006 Three Chopt Rd. Interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 3805 Cutshaw Ave., # 212, Richmond, Va. 23230 or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 5511 Staples Mill Rd., Richmond, Va. 23230.
