Alice Mostue, age 89, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, died on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at her home. Alice Huseby was born May 8, 1922 near Pelican Rapids the daughter of Bernard and Amine (Pederson) Huseby. On October 14, 1944 Alice was united in marriage with Arthur Mostue in Pelican Rapids. Alice was a waitress in Carlsbad, New Mexico where Arthur was stationed for the United States Army. When Alice and Arthur moved back to Pelican Rapids she was employed at West Central Turkeys, Inc. for thirty- one years until her retirement. Arthur died on March 24, 1995. Alice was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Barnesville American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening and working with flowers. Alice is survived by her daughter, Carol (Michael) Jaeger, Sabin, MN; two sons: Everett (Kathy) Mostue, Barnesville, MN, and Larry Mostue and his fiancée, Peg Nelson, Fergus Falls, MN; 7 grandchildren: Alicia Mostue, Derek Mostue, Luke Mostue, Brianna Mostue, Christopher (Sandra) Jaeger, Robert (Stacy) Jaeger, and Michael (Ashley) Jaeger; 9 great-grandchildren: Lauren, Rachel, Michaela, Madelyn, Sutton, Elijah, Noah, Cody, and Wyatt; sister, Hilda Peterson, Pelican Rapids; sisters-in-law: Dora Mostue and Lois Mostue; brother-in-law, Orville (Marna) Mostue; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Harry Huseby; and sisters: Ella Haiby and Myrtle Johnson. Active pallbearers are Alice's grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers are all of Alice's friends and relatives. Visitation: Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Service: 2:00 p.m. – Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Pelican Rapids, Minnesota
