Alicia Lynn Sholl, 33, and her baby of Fort Madison, IA, passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 4:10 PM at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.
She was born on September 15, 1980 in Moberly, MO to Roger and Deborah Gurwell Anderson. On June 20, 2009 she married Ian Sholl in Ft. Madison. Alicia was a 1999 graduate of FMHS and also Iowa Wesleyan College. She was a preschool teacher at Wonder Years Day Care and also a former Teachers Assistant at Richardson Elementary. Alicia was a member of Sacred Heart Church, the Holy Family Parish Bell Choir and Vacation Bible School. She was involved in the Old Fort Players and Children's Theatre. She loved going on motorcycle rides with her husband and taking Preston to the park.
Survivors include her husband, Ian Sholl of Ft. Madison; son, Preston Sholl of Ft. Madison; mother Deb Anderson of Ft. Madison; father, Roger Anderson of Ft. Madison; brother, Aaron Anderson of Ft. Madison; mother-in-law, Cindy Sarver of Houston, TX and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim and Donna Sholl of Ft. Madison. Several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Friends may call after 1 PM on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory where the family will receive friends from 5-7 PM. A rosary will be recited at 4:30 PM and a wake service will be held at 7 PM all at the funeral home on Wednesday. The funeral mass will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Mark P. Spring officiating. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.
