Allan Ann Schwettman April 11, 1944 - September 12, 2011 Ann Schwettmann (Annie), age 67, passed away September 12, 2011, at her home in Garland, Texas, following a 7-year battle with lung cancer. A life celebration service will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 15, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Chapel, 6101 Bosque Blvd, Waco, Tex., with Chaplain Curtis Holland officiating. A reception will follow in the Garden Room. Visitation with the family will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 14, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room. She was born Allan Ann Henry on April 11, 1944, in Waco, to Earnest Harold Henry and Patricia Beach Henry. Annie graduated from Waco High School in 1962. She continued her education at Baylor University, receiving her Bachelors in Elementary Education, and going on to receive her Masters in Elementary Education from Texas A&M University. Among her many talents as a young child, she was a gifted artist. Carrying on that love for creativity, she influenced the lives of thousands as a teacher for 32 years. She was also a member of the Alpha Beta Upsilon Chapter and Red Hat Society. She will be missed by her daughters, Andrea Lynn Haynes and husband, Roger, of Richardson, Elizabeth Ann Strot and husband, Ben, of Flagstaff, Arizona; her two sisters, Marcile Burk and husband, Ben, of Blum, and Patsy Buhler and husband, Coyle, of Lockhart; ex-husband, Earl Ray Schwettmann, of Fredericksburg; grandsons, Mason, Carter, Nolan Haynes, and Austin and Aaron Strot; as well as many friends and extended family. Honorary pallbearers are Roger Haynes, Ben Strot, Greg Burk, Ben Burk and Coyle Buhler. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the American Lung Cancer Society.
