Allegonda "Joan" Morgan, 87, a resident of Old Orchard Health Care Center, Palmer Twp., PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 26, 2011 at the center. Born on March 6, 1924 in Holland, she was the daughter of the late Sietse and Hendricka Roedema. Mrs. Morgan came to the United States in 1929. She had lived in Delaware, NJ for many years before residing in Old Orchard. Mrs. Morgan had worked as a seamstress at DaKay Fashions, Columbia, NJ for many years before retiring. Mrs. Morgan was predeceased by her husband Robert "Ken" Morgan; a daughter, Lona Vogt; a son-in-law, Greg Pysher; two sisters, Amy Deemers and Lee Tilstra. Surviving are four daughters, Mary Haschak and her husband Joe of Stroudsburg, Pa, Audrey Morgan Pysher of Mt. Bethel, PA, Linda Hosterman and her husband Paul of Belvidere, NJ, Kathy Allen and her husband Tom of Scott Run, PA; a son, Ricky Morgan and his wife Michele of Cresco, PA; a son-in-law, John Vogt of Tobyhanna, PA; twelve grandsons; four granddaughters; seven great-grandsons; and five great-granddaughters. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the charity of one's choice. This Online Memorial has been created to commemorate the life of Allegonda Morgan.
