Allen Matthews, age 37, of Mountain Pine, died Thursday, February 23, 2012. He was born on August 19, 1974 in Texarkana, Texas, the son of Donald Ray Matthews, Sr. and Peggy Harmon Matthews. On September 13, 1997, he was married to Pamela Seaton. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clyde and Hazel Harmon; and his father-in-law, Hugh Roy Seaton. He worked for the Keith Smith Company for sixteen years. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Matthews; his daughter, Trinity Matthews; his parents, Donald Ray, Sr. and Peggy Matthews; his brother, Donald Ray Matthews, Jr. all of Mountain Pine; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Sherrill and Michael Miller of Jessieville; his sister-in-law, Melissa Tillery of Jessieville; two nephews, Lane and Hunter Minton; one niece, Sierra Minton; and a host of cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at 10:00AM in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Bro. Jimmie Scott officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Sunshine. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday evening. Pallbearers will be Donny Wilson, II, Josh Covey, Kelly Tadlock, Justin Minton, Lane Minton and Mike Harmon. Memorials may be made the Allen Matthews Memorial Fund at any U.S. Bank.
