Alphonse F. Kuntz, 88, Bismarck, passed away October 23, 2011, at home under St. Alexius Hospice Care. Services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, October 27, 2011, at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Bismarck, with Rev. John Guthrie officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Wednesday, October 26, at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck. Alphonse was born November 2, 1922, to Jacob and Rose (Schwartz) Kuntz, in Solen, ND. He married Caroline Hatzenbuhler in 1944. Alphonse was a carpenter by trade. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Alphonse is survived by his loving wife, Caroline, Bismarck; his sons, Dale (Peggy) Kuntz, Fargo, AJ (Doris) Kuntz, Washburn, Larry Kuntz, Ortley Beach, NJ, and his daughters, Faye (Mike) Broeckel, Mandan, and Deborah Kuntz, Bismarck; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; eldest grandson, Keith Kuntz; and numerous family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Alexius Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
