Alsacia "Alsy" Graham, age 83, of Leawood, KS passed away on September 15, 2011. She was born on June 10, 1928 in Rio Bamba, Equador, the daughter of Clotilde (Cisneros) and Augusto Izurieta. She was one of ten children.
Alsy came to the United States in 1946, graduated from St. Teresa's College in 1950 and married John Graham on June 6, 1968 at Cure' of Ars. Alsy was a member of Cure' of Ars Catholic Church, was involved in the Cure' Bridge Club, the Sister Servants of Mary and the UMKC Women's Club. She was a mathematics teacher, ran Graham Accounting out of her home and was later an accountant at the church.
Alsy was a dynamic, loving, and generous individual who loved to have fun. Alsy loved to travel all over the world with her husband, John. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love for life and desire to serve others was evident to all who knew her. She will be truly missed by many.
Survivors include her husband, John of Leawood; daughter, Moneca (Payton) Dunham of Evergreen, CO; granddaughter, Sierra Dunham; sisters, Germania and Gladys; brothers, Nelson, Wilson, and Ruben; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Milton, Oscar, and Orlando, and her sister Estella.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Cure' of Ars Catholic Church. Visitation and Rosary will be held one hour prior. At a later date burial will be held in the Kinney Cemetery, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to Sister Servants of Mary, 800 North 18th St, KC, KS 66102 or to Our Lady of Mercy Home , 2115 Maturana Drive, Liberty, MO 64068.
