Mrs. Althea Porter, 69, a resident of Port Saint Lucie for 5 years, departed this life Thursday, January 19th, 2012.
Mrs. Porter was born in Jamaica and moved to Port Saint Lucie from Chicago, IL. She worked as a home health aide.
Mrs. Porter is survived by her husband of 3 years, Larry Porter; sons, Fenton Buchanan, of Atlanta, GA, and Raymond and Rollyn Reid, both of Windsor, CT; daughter, Rosalie Reid, of Port Saint Lucie; 15 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brother, Jack Nelson, of Ft. Lauderdale; and sister, Inez Campbell, of Jamaica.
Visitation will be held 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, January 27, at Forest Hills Funeral Homes- Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m.
Arrangements under the direction of Forest Hills Funeral Homes - Byrd, Young & Prill Chapel in Port Saint Lucie.
