Alvin J. Flaherty, 79, of Apopka, Florida, formerly of Pittsburgh, passed away on January 31, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Mary Flaherty; daughters Barbara (Charlie) Bombalier, Cynthia Stavitzski, Sandra Flaherty (Richard D'Augusta), and Kathleen (David) Hirshburg; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; sister Mercedes Doerr; brother Henry (Geraldine) Flaherty; and many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Alvin will be remembered as a hard working, loving family man.
