ESCUE, Alvin Leon, August 21, 2011, age 88 of White House. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter Paulette Escue; daughter, Patsy Tate; brother, George Escue. Survived by his wife, Margaret Escue, son, Steve (Patsy) Escue; daughter, Kathy Briley; grandchildren, Bob Tate, Tina Richmond, Stephen Escue, Jr., and Sarah Mitchell; eight great-grandchildren; brother, J.C. Escue. Mr. Escue was a long time member and deacon at First Baptist Church of White House, served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and was the co-founder of TN/KY Auto Sprk Company. He was a member of Burton Lodge F&AM #272, White House OES #222, and the Al Menah Shrine where he served as captiain of the Motor Corp in 1975. Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, White House Tuesday from 2-8 pm, and Wednesday from 11-1 pm. Funeral Service will be at 2 pm Wednesday at First Baptist Church of White House, 2800 Highway 31-W, with Rev. Ashley Mofield, and Rev. Mike Escue, officiating. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery. Active pallbearers: Frank Hester, F.G. (Pat) Meyer, Gene Butler, Jimmy Brinkley, Stephen Escue Jr., and Bob Tate. Honorary pallbearers: Al Menah Motor Corps. For those desiring, donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for children.
