Amaryllis Futch Rainwater Kilpatrick Funeral Home Ruston, LA Funeral services for Amaryllis Futch Rainwater, age 77, of Spearsville, LA will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, May 2, 2011 at Camp Creek Baptist church in Spearsville. Officiating the service will be Bro. Joe Aulds, Bro. Buddy Boatright, Bro. Forrest Post, and Bro. Steven Hughes. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday at Hillcrest Cemetery in Bossier City under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Rose Amaryllis Futch Rainwater, born August 1, 1933 in Spearsville, LA. She went to be with her Lord and Savior April 28, 2011. Amaryllis was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by her parents; Gordon and Georgia Futch; one brother: Glenn W. Futch of Winnfield; her husband: Harvey Rainwater of Bossier City. She is survived by brothers: Charles Futch and wife Peggy of Spearsville, and Max Futch and wife Faye of Baton Rouge; sister: Betty Ridley and husband Cecil of Bridgeport Alabama; Uncle: Joe B. Aulds of Spearsville; Aunt: Farris Foster of Spearsville. She is also survived by a step-son: Larry Rainwater and wife Donna of Ruston; step- grandson: Greg Rainwater and wife Cassidy, and their children; Evelyn, Morgan and Peyton of Shreveport; step- granddaughter: Stacy Miller and husband Brian and their son Josh of Ruston. Amaryllis also left behind numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews along with many cousins to cherish her memory. Amaryllis was an avid sports fan throughout her life. During her years at Spearsville High School she participated in Softball and Basketball. After leaving high school she attended a business college in Monroe, LA. Shortly thereafter she began a lifelong career of management in the trucking industry in Bossier City and later Houston Texas. Upon her retirement she returned home where she spent the last eight years on the old home place in the Camp Creek Community surrounded by her family and friends.
