Andrew Sonatore, age 51, died Wednesday, September 28th at his home in Jamesburg. Born in New Brunswick, Andrew grew up in Fords and most recently resided in Jackson and South Brunswick. Mr. Sonatore's career was within the logistics and shipping industry. This included many years of service at Baccarat in Edison and most recently with AirGroup Express in Allentown. A talented musician, Andrew was a professional sound engineer and music producer at IGM studios in North Brunswick. Andrew's major interest was rock music and he was a guitarist in several local bands over the years including 20 years with The Swoop and more recently with Stronger Than Dirt. In addition to his love for music, he was a huge NY Giants fan but will mostly be remembered for his very quick wit and his devotion to his 4 sons. He was predeceased by his nephew Todd Sonatore. Surviving are his parents, Jacob and Irene (Higgins) Sonatore of Piscataway, four sons, Jacob of Jamesburg and Justin, Jeremy and Tyler, all of South Brunswick and his wife Karen (Segledi) Sonatore, also of South Brunswick. Also surviving are 3 brothers, Matthew Sonatore and wife Lisa of East Brunswick, Paul Sonatore and wife Rita of Piscataway, Jason Sonatore and wife Carol of Robbinsville and 4 sisters, Donna Marie Hawver of Sarasota Florida, Ann Christian of Colonia, Nina Sonatore of Beachwood and Jennifer Hansen and husband Roy of Piscataway as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A funeral service will be 11:30am Tuesday October 4, 2011 at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home 205 Rhode Hall Rd. Monroe Twp., NJ 08831, 732-521-0555. Interment will follow in Fernwood Cemetery, Jamesburg. The family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4pm and 7-9pm on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, an account for his children has been set up. Donations may be sent to The Sonatore College Fund, c/o Matthew Sonatore, 3 Henrietta Street, East Brunswick, NJ 08816.
