Funeral services for Andrew Walter Loehr, 90, of Caldwell, are set for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January, 26, 2011, at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell, with Rev. Lawrence Smith officiating and Rev. Matt Weaver assisting. Interment will follow at Masonic Cemetery in Caldwell under the care and direction of Strickland Funeral Home of Caldwell. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. Mr. Loehr passed away January 24, 2011 at his home in Caldwell. Pallbearers will be Cody Loehr. Seth Loehr, Will Loehr, Jason Nowak, Justin Loehr, Brandon Loehr, Kyle Loehr and Preston Loehr. Andrew was born January 12, 1921 to William John Loehr and Alma Homeyer Loehr in Cost, Texas, Gonzales County. He married his wife of 64 years, Wanda Housman Loehr on October 14, 1946 in Pittsburg, Kansas. He was a member of Cooks Point United Methodist Church, The American Legion and Cooks Point Community Center. Andrew is survived by his wife Wanda Loehr of Caldwell, sons and daughters-in-law; Blifford and Terry Loehr of Sequin, Texas, Danny and Annette Loehr of Caldwell, brother; Raymond Loehr of Caldwell, sister; Hilda Weeber of Caldwell, and seven grandchildren; Justin Loehr, Brandon Loehr, Kyle Loehr, Nickie Nowak, Cody Loehr, Seth Loehr, Will Loehr, Dailee Loehr, Gavin Taylor and Trevor Taylor. He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers. The family suggests memorials to Cooks Point United Methodist Church, 4902 E. Hwy 21, Caldwell, Texas 77836 or to the charity of your choice.
