Angela "Angie" F. Liberatore, (nee: Lombardi), 82, of Chardon, Ohio, passed away at the Hospice of Western Reserve on February 3, 2011, after a brief battle with cancer. Angie grew up in Cleveland, OH, and resided in the Chardon, OH, area for over 50 years.
Angie was lovingly devoted to her family and friends, and an active member of the Hambden Alliance Church. She was known for her infectious laughter, zeal, and love for life which will be missed by all her family, friends and neighbors. Her bright smile, helping hand, and sweet, caring heart made the day brighter for everyone she met. She was one of God's gifts to us all. Angie will be sadly missed, but remembered by all who were lucky enough to have been a part of her life.
The family would like to thank all of her dear family and friends who gave so generously of their time, love and support during her illness.
Angie was the only daughter of a family of five children born to Joseph and Mary Lombardi January 24, 1929. She is survived by her three children: Steven Liberatore (Patti) of Cincinnati, OH, Thomas (Robin) Liberatore of Spring Hill, FL, and Debora (Jeff) Doyle of Tega Cay, S.C.; and one brother, Daniel Lombardi of Cleveland, OH; seven grandchildren: Cody Liberatore and Ashley Liberatore of Spring Hill, FL; Benjamin Swofford, Alexandra Liberatore, Vincenzo Liberatore, and Elizabeth Swofford of Cincinnati, OH; Angela Doyle of Tega Cay, S.C.; and one great-grandchild, Gracie.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Mary (nee:Grizzie) Lombardi; 2 sisters: Rose Riha and Anna Lombardi; and 2 brothers Angelo and Carmen Lombardi.
Angie's memorial service will be held on Monday, February 7, 2011 at Hambden Alliance Church, 9892 Old State Road, Hambden Twp., OH 44119 at 8:00 p.m. Rev. Andrew Beorn of the church will officiate. Friends and family are invited to call between 6:00-8:00 p.m. The burial will be held at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Twp., OH.
