Angeline F. DiFilippo, 91, of Kiski Township died on Sunday, August 12, 2012 in West Haven Manor, Washington Township.

Born on May 14, 1921 in Pescocostanzo, Italy she was a daughter of the late Lorenzo and Louisa (Caniglia) Donatelli and had lived in Apollo prior to moving to Kiski Township in 1969.

With her love of cooking, Angeline started in the restaurant business in 1950 at the Union House Hotel. In 1972 she and her husband opened Flavio's Restaurant in Apollo where she was considered the Matriarch.

She was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church in Apollo and The Catholic Daughters of America. Angeline loved cooking and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Flavio O. DiFilippo on November 5, 1999; two brothers, Tony and Guy Donatelli; and great granddaughter, Giovanna Jean DiFilippo.

Survivors include her three sons, Oreste Flavio "Peter" (Carol Stewart) DiFilippo of Spring Church, Pasquale Lorenzo "Patsy" (Monica) DiFilippo of Hyde Park and Dennis Paul (Vickie Orkwis) DiFilippo of Kiski Township; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and sister, Jean Szarleta of New Holland, NY.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 15th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm in the Curran-Shaffer Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 100 Owens View Avenue, Apollo. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 am in St. James Roman Catholic Church, Apollo with Father John Euker as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park Mausoleum, Lower Burrell.

The family suggests memorial contributions in Angeline's memory be made to St. James Roman Catholic Church, 109 Owens View Avenue, Apollo PA 15613.
