Mrs. Anna Frances Brandenburg Glover, age 94, of Vidalia, GA, died Wednesday, January 4, 2012, in the Bethany Nursing Center in Vidalia after an extended illness. She was a native of Princess Anne County, Virginia, and lived there until moving to Vidalia in 1999. She was formerly a receptionist with Dr. Henry Rogers, was employed with Sears, and worked in the home office of Be-lo Grocery, all in Norfolk, Virginia. She was a member of the Eastern Star, attended the First Baptist Church of Vidalia, and was a lifetime Baptist. Her life was about service to others, including devoting her time and energy to missions, volunteering at countless church endeavors, and nursing her husband, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her husband William Glover; parents, Eva and Fredrick Brandenburg; one brother, Fredrick Brandenburg; and two sisters, Hazel Wardwell and Marian Monroe. Mrs. Glover is survived by two sons, Brandon Glover and wife Jeanine of Pearlington, MS, and Stephen Monroe Glover and wife Ann of Vidalia, GA; a daughter-in-law, Donna Cheski Glover of Slidell, LA; eight grandchildren, Keith Glover, Christopher Glover, Susie Glover Palmer, Elizabeth Glover Beasley, Mary Frances Glover Burt, Rebekah Glover Owings, Jennifer Glover Forrester, and Stephen Glover, ten great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and a niece and two nephews, Sandra Wardwell Sikes, Charlton Calhoun, and Chris Calhoun all of Lyons. A graveside committal service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 10, 2012, in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Norfolk with Pastor Rich Hardison officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest contributions be made to the Paul Anderson Youth Home, P.O. Box 525, Vidalia, GA 30475 or either the First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 631, Vidalia, GA 30475. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive is in charge of arrangements.
