Anna Mae Burnett Sanders, 89 of Springhill, LA passed away Thursday, September 15, 2005 in Shreveport, LA.
She was born June 3, 1916 in Lafayette County, AR to the late Crooks and Ethel (Powell) Burnett. She was a retired school teacher for Bradley Elementary School, and a member of Forest Grove Baptist Church, and the VFW Auxiliary.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hugh Sanders; son Kirk Sanders; grandson, John Sanders; three brothers, Norman Burnett, Ted Burnett, and Clarence Burnett; and sister, Jewell Barham.
She is survived by her daughter, Susie Coyle and her husband, Mike of Springhill, LA; son, James Pinky Sanders and his wife, Susan of Taylor, AR; daughter-in-law, Julie Sanders of Cayucos, CA; four grandchildren, Mary and Joe Overton of Westfork, AR; Clark and Cassie Coyle of Benton, LA; Tim and Leslie Coyle of Shreveport, LA; and Jared Coyle of Springhill, LA; two great grandchildren, Christy and Will Overton of Westfork, AR; three sisters, Nellie Milner, Betty Jo Mitchell, and Yvonne Bailey all of Stamps, AR; and one brother, Clifford Burnett of Canfield, AR.
Funeral services will be Sunday, September 18, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Chad Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Springhill, LA. Memorials may be made to Taylor VFW or Springhill Senior Friends.
