Anna Mae Hotvedt, daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Gunderson) Hotvedt, was born February 1, 1923 in Solem Township in Grant County, Minnesota. She was confirmed at Land's Church in Hoffman. She grew up in the Hoffman area where she began her schooling. On March 12, 1983, she was united in marriage to Emil Heintzelman in Morris. The couple has made their home in Morris since that time. Anna was a member of the Morris American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries. She enjoyed gardening, tending her flowers, bird watching, cooking, bingo and an occasional trip to the casino. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her family doing family activities.
Anna died on Sunday, October 15, 2006 at the Stevens Community Medical Center in Morris, having lived to reach the age of 83 years.
She is survived by her husband: Emil Heintzelman of Morris; four children: Dennis (Debbie) Laager of Springfield, IL, Diane (Leo) Sprouls of Apple Valley, Brad (Dawn) Laager of Little Falls and Pennie (Chuck) Waldoch of Burnsville; seven step-children: Larry (Ginny) Heintzelman of Alberta, Steven (DeAnn) Heintzelman of Pelican Rapids, Jean (Bob) Lopez of Glyndon, Mike Heintzelman of Fargo, Jim (Sara) Heintzelman of Breckenridge, Richard (Lisa) Heintzelman of Hot Springs, SD and Mark (Kendra) Heintzelman of The Colony, TX; 22 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister: Edith Hedstrom of Hoffman and three brothers: Orren Hotvedt of Hoffman, Benny (Shirley) Hotvedt of Farmington and Merlyn (Cathy) Hotvedt of Plymouth. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister and three brothers.
Pallbearers for the service are: Troy Sprouls, Ryan Laager, Mike Grant, Danni Heintzelman, Kelly Lopez and Breanne Heintzelman. Rita Lambert will serve as organist for the service. Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris is in charge of the arrangements.
