GRAFTON: Mrs. Anna T. ( McGinnis ) Webber, 99, passed away peacefully October 15, 2011. Her husband George J. Webber Jr. and her son George J. Webber III predeceased her. She is survived by her grandchildren, Caroline Webber, George J. Webber IV, Zachary P. Webber and Courtney A. Webber- Lavoie. Great grandchildren, Annabelle, Zachary, David, Kyle, Calissa, George J. V, her daughter-in-law Shirley Bernasconi and many nieces and nephews, particularly her beloved niece Annie. Her siblings Mary, Margaret, John, James, Henry and Charles also predeceased her. Mrs. Webber was born January 4, 1912 in Worcester the daughter of the late John E. and Margaret (Tobin ) McGinnis. She was raised in Worcester and lived over 60 years in Grafton and spent the last 10 years at The Willows Community in Westboro. For many years Anna spent summers in Brewster on Cape Cod and winters at Long Boat Key in Florida. Mrs. Webber graduated from Worcester South High School, Framingham State College and The Memorial Hospital School of Nursing earning certification as a dietician. She worked at Northampton and Grafton State Hospitals in that capacity before her marriage to Mr. Webber. She and her husband owned and operated several businesses in Grafton including Webber Fuels Inc. which their son George III continued. Mrs. Webber provided The Town of Grafton with 50 acres of their land for open space use designated as The Webber Preserve. Anna was also active in town affairs serving many years on The Grafton School Committee, chairing The North Grafton Elementary School Building Committee and was an active member of The Grafton Community Nursing Association and a dedicated parishioner of St. Mary's Church in North Grafton. While Anna eagerly anticipated her 100th birthday she lived a full, vibrant life and will be greatly missed. The family suggests memorial donations to The Grafton Food Bank, 30 Providence Rd. Grafton MA 01519 in lieu of flowers. CALLING HOURS & FUNERAL MASS All are in invited to calling hours for Anna Tuesday October 18th from 5pm to 8pm at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton MA 01536. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday October 19th at 11:00am at St. Mary's Church 17 Waterville St. N. Grafton MA 01536. She will then be laid to rest with her husband at St. Philip's Cemetery on Millbury Street in Grafton.
