Anne A. Menze, 67, of Marquette, died Tuesday afternoon, June 28, 2011 at her daughter�s home and under the care of Lake Superior Hospice. She was born May 19, 1944 in Marquette to the late Franz and Amelia L. (Brunngraeber) Menze. Anne graduated from Bishop Baraga Central High School in 1962. She earned a Bachelors of Science Degree from NMU in Public Administration then attended the Patricia Stevens Modeling School of Milwaukee, WI. Anne enjoyed helping and encouraging others. She enjoyed her crafts, gardening and the early mornings. She gave to her community through service and volunteering for many non-profit organizations. She is survived by three children, Doneen (Jeff) Ferris of Gwinn, Kippey (Larry Knabush) Garrels of Gwinn and Franz Johnson of McFarland; grandchildren, Rachel, Jacob, Danielle, Benjamin, Kimberly, Katherine, Donald, Kristina, Nathaniel, Austin and Anna; great-grandchildren, Kahley, Ahnilycia, Mylina, Madison and Miles; brothers, Joseph (Kay) Menze of Ontonagon and Herman Menze of Tempe, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Thomas; and brothers, Paul Menze and Carl P. Menze. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Bishop�s Room at St. Peter Cathedral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in the church with Rev. Msgr. Michael Steber officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Harbor House.
