Anne M. (Healey) Johanson, age 70, of Lynn died on Saturday, January 24, 2009 after a lengthy illness. Born in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Arthur E. and Cecelia Mary (Trainor) Healey. A lifelong resident of Lynn, she is a graduate of Lynn Classical High School.
Anne worked as a teacher's aide in the Lynn Public Schools for 19 years until her retirement two years ago. She was also an avid bingo player.
She is survived by her 4 children; Richard Johanson and his wife Debra of Saugus, Joni Rowe of Florida, Karen Ashwell and her husband Daniel of Lynn, and Kristen Thiphavong and her husband Sal of Lynn; her 9 grandchildren; Robert Sisson, Ryan Rowe, Jennifer, Megan, and Daniel Ashwell, Jason and Brandon Thiphavong, and Richard and Christopher "C.J." Johanson; as well as 2 sisters; Rita Ishii and Claire Colby, and one brother; Peter Healey. She is the former wife of the late Harold G. Johanson and sister of the late Arthur, Owen and Joseph Healey.
Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 11AM in the SOLIMINE, LANDERGAN AND RICHARDSON FUNERAL HOME, 426 Broadway (Rt 129) Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4-8PM. Those who prefer may make donations to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th floor, Brookline, MA 02445-7226, ATTN: Contribution Services.
