Anne Marie Breitwieser Loving Wife, Mother, Nana and Friend Hilton Head Island, SC--Anne Marie Breitwieser, 82, formerly of Ridgewood, NJ, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, March 12, 2012. She was the beloved wife and high school sweetheart of Raymond Breitwieser, to whom she was married for 60 years. She was born on July 22, 1929, in Clinton, Massachusetts. As a graduate of Saint Mary's Hospital School of Nursing, she devoted her life as an RN to taking care of everyone in need in hospitals and nursing homes. Anne had a special place in her heart for the elderly and was passionate in making sure they were treated with love and care. In Ridgewood, Anne was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister for 30 yrs, and also brought communion to the homebound. She enjoyed being a Sunday school teacher, a founding member of the Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Society, and a volunteer at Eva's Kitchen. After moving to Hilton Head Island, Anne and Ray became parishioners of Saint Francis by the Sea Catholic Church. In addition to her loving husband, Anne is survived by her four children and their spouses--Raymond Jr and Janice Breitwieser of Coral Springs, Florida, MaryLou and Tim Cherney of Brewerton, NY, Patricia and Rick Horlbeck of Hilton Head Island, SC, and William and Christine Breitwieser of Oakland, NJ. She also has six loving grandchildren--Kirsten Breitwieser, Brendan and Brittany Horlbeck, and Daniel, Kyle and Sara Breitwieser. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 15th 2012, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at The Island Funeral Home and Crematory, 4 Cardinal Road, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Francis by the Sea Catholic Church, Beach City Road, Hilton Head Island on Friday, March 16th, 2012 at 2:30 pm. followed by the interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Anne's honor can be made to Hospice Care of the Lowcountry, PO Box 3827, Bluffton, SC 29910 or Memory Matters, PO Box 22330, Hilton Head Island, SC 29925.
