Annette Corbin Belote, 86, of Chesapeake, VA, formerly of Painter, VA, died Wednesday, August 5, 2009 in Chesapeake. Mrs. Belote was the widow of the late Robert Lee Belote and beloved mother of Paul Belote, Barbara Belote Miller, and the late Lee S. Belote. She was a long-time member of Hickory United Methodist Church. Besides her son and daughter, she is survived by daughter-in-law Janette Snyder Belote, son-in-law Allen Miller, grandchildren Robert W. Belote and his wife Amy, Edward O. Belote and his wife Kellie, James E. Temple, III and his wife Christine, and great-grandchildren, Gillian, Megan, Austin, Olivia, Gavin and Savannah. Annette was also a long-time employee of Sears, from which she retired in the 1980's. A memorial service in her honor will be held in Chesapeake at Hickory United Methodist Church, the corner of South Battlefield Blvd. and Benefit Rd., at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2009. Viewing will be on Sunday, August 9, 2009 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at The Williams Funeral Home, 94 Market St, Onancock, VA, with internment immediately following at Onancock Cemetery.
