GRAFTON: Annette L. (Leblond) Clark, 71, of Grafton passed peacefully Sunday May 8, 2011 at home surrounded by her beloved family after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of more than 53 years Harold A. Clark, Three children, Karen M. (Clark) Smith of Grafton, Shaun H. Clark and his wife Bobbi Sue of York SC, Jeremy A. Clark of Worcester; Four grandchildren who she adored, Keith A. Wasiuk and his wife Emily of Webster, Matthew H. Clark of Millbury, Nicole L. Batchelder of Ware, Haylee E. Clark of York SC; One great grandchild Katrina N. Richards of Ware; Two brothers, Albert Leblond and his wife Patricia of Winthrop ME, Roland J. "Jim" Leblond and his wife Ellie of Leeds ME; One sister, Jacqueline (Leblond) Smith and her companion Lloyd Trufant of Topsham ME and two generations of nieces and nephews. Annette was born July 9, 1939 in Lewiston ME the daughter of the late Roland D. and Irene (Lee) Leblond. She graduated from Leavitt Institute High School in Turner ME. She and Harold who she dearly loved with all her heart were married April 6, 1958 and then came to Grafton with to have and raise their three children. She was a dedicated wife and mother and also worked while her children were young as a secretary at Mendall Benjamin Co. and Paul Revere Life Insurance Co. both in Worcester and then The Grafton Town Hall. The final eight years she worked were at The Grafton Middle School beginning as a kitchen helper and was promoted to Head Cook until illness forced her retirement. Annette enjoyed working with her co-workers and loved cooking for all the children and interacting with them. She had a deep passion for spending time with her family, relatives and friends and was a wonderful hostess having barbecues, entertaining and spending time at her pool with her grandchildren. Her hobbies were sewing clothes, crocheting, painting, crafts, and ceramics. She also loved growing flowers and canning vegetables she and her husband grew in their gardens. She also had a love for animals especially her cat "Baxter". The family asks that in lieu of flowers you honor and remember Annette with memorial donations to The Susan G. Komen for the Cure, MA Affiliate, 89 South St. Suite 406, Boston MA 02111. Funeral & Calling Hours All are invited to calling hours for Annette Thursday May 12th from 5 to 8 pm at THE RONEY FUNERAL HOME 152 Worcester St. North Grafton. All are welcome to attend a Graveside Funeral Service Friday May 13th at 11 am in St. Philip's Cemetery on Millbury St. @ Hudson Avenue in Grafton where she will be laid to rest.
